Wrap-Up
What a trip!! The time difference has been making me wake up early here in America, and all I can think about is all the good times I had this trip. I never expected a 2 week study abroad trip to change so much for me! I have learned so much about how I see art, activism, and different cultures. I never used to think twice about art I saw, but now I feel more engaged with pieces and what they mean. I also loved learning more about catholicism. There were so many beautiful parts of Italian culture that I miss! I also feel more empowered to engage in activism. Coming back to America and hearing about more mass shootings has taken me back to the discussions we had as a group and has inspired me to think more about how I can responsibly engage with my community to make lasting change. Now more then ever, I feel challenged to do better and make a better future!
I'm so grateful I had this opportunity to learn and grow in one of the most beautiful countries with some of the coolest people! These 2 weeks have been the best ever and I will never forget this experience! Until next time.. ciao!
